About the Course:

Empower school of Health has jointly developed e-learning courses in the field of Procurement and Supply Chain management. The courses are meant for employees of the UNDP as well as non-UNDP workers who are engaged in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, 3 courses are being offered presently out of which 2 courses are certified. These interactive courses also include assessments and quizzes at the module level and at the course level. Candidates registered in the courses are certified by the UNDP on successful completion of the course

This online course provides a platform for beginners to understand the basics by laying the foundation for Procurement and Supply Chain Management. The course focuses on PSM in general, and PSM issues related to public health programs for HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria programme funded by The Global Fund in particular. The aim of the course is to describe the importance of PSM in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of life-saving medicines and other health products

Empower has jointly developed these courses with UNDP and has also translated these courses in 3 other languages also after successful completion in English. Thereafter, the courses have been translated into French, Spanish and Russian. This is one of the few online courses available in the field of PSM. Apart from UNDP employees these courses are being extensively used by PSM professionals in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Empower school of Health is actively engaged in providing backend support to all the registered users. This not only includes meeting day to day queries of the users, but also updating the courses as and when required.
