Consultant- Proposal Writing
Determining proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs after studying requests for proposal (RFPs) concentrating around global health programs and procurement and supply chain systems. Leading proposal development, budgeting, work plan development, identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals. Developing proposals by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation. Writing, revising, and editing drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials. Working in coordination with other team members and facilitate creating project schedules and deadlines, coordinate responsibilities and prepare presentations. Meeting proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval. Developing trackers and monitor progress along with coordinating requirements with contributors. Maintaining quality results by using templates, following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone. Supporting Business Development (BD) team in writing concept notes and technical proposals. Supporting technical team in writing project reports including executive summaries, background, key findings, conclusions and discussions. Performing any other responsibilities as assigned by the manager/supervisor.
Education: Master degree or equivalent in Management/ Health Management/ Supply Chain/ Social Development. Experience and other requirements: 7+ years of experience in the development sector. Strong proposal writing and project management skills (essential). Able to prioritise workload and handle multiple tasks; anticipates deadlines and plans and acts accordingly. Prior experience of working on similar assignments in supply chain management and public health will be an added advantage. Excellent written and verbal skills with perfect grammar and vocabulary. Must have knowledge of Microsoft office. Expertise in preparing PowerPoint presentations and storyboarding.
