Empower Swiss Driving Pharmaceutical Workforce Strengthening Across Nigeria.

Empower Swiss, SARL has played a key role in Nigeria’s pharmaceutical workforce development through stakeholder engagements led by the Presidential Initiative for Unlocking the Healthcare Value Chain (PVAC). At the 8–9 October 2025 workshop on enhancing local manufacturing and supply chains for malaria commodities, Empower emphasized addressing industry capacity gaps via digital training and self-regulation. The event, in collaboration with National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and partners such as the World Bank, highlighted Empower’s digital learning framework and Centre of Excellence for Digital Training as vital to aligning training with PVAC’s national manufacturing capacity-building goals.

Empower presented a detailed situational analysis at the PVAC-Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Group of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (PMG-MAN) Consultative Meeting in Lagos on September 11-12, 2025, highlighting critical workforce and supply chain gaps in Nigeria’s pharmaceutical sector. These findings are now driving the creation of tailored digital training solutions through Empower Academy Nigeria—a transformative initiative that integrates competency development, policy strengthening, financing facilitation, and infrastructure enhancement.
