Action for Development

Action for Development is an Afghan-led, Geneva-based non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health, education, and resilience of vulnerable communities across Afghanistan. Founded in 2011 by experienced Afghan public health and development professionals, Action for Development was granted consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in 2014. Through evidence-based, community-driven programming and strategic partnerships, the organization works to strengthen health systems, expand access to quality education, improve nutrition, empower women, and provide humanitarian assistance to populations most in need. Action for Development's guiding vision is "Healthy Families, Empowered Communities," reflecting its commitment to sustainable, locally owned development.
